Smart Ig(maybe TOO smart)

Anyone who has doubts about iguanas being able to reason needs to be around my 4-ft male, "Andr'e", whom I recently adopted through a rescue society. Yesterday I as eating a Granny Smith Apple, while he sat on my shouler. I cut him off a small slice and offered it to him in my fingers. He started to grab it, then took a look at the whole apple in my other hand, took another look at the small slice, another at the whole apple...and arrived at a conclusion he obviously did NOT like! He pushed the slice away with his hand, then lunged at the whole apple! He apparently did not think it was fair at all that I had this big apple and all he had was this thin sliver!
