Sounds like it, except I have never seen a 'goard-looking thing" on kudzu. The flowers are purplish and in clusters sort of like wisteria, and smell like grapes, but the leaves are in bunches of three, though they get sort of big. It is a vine and it can grow up to 60 inches per day! It will take over if allowed to do so, but dies back in the winter since frost kills it. I researched it on the web and found out its nutrient value is similar to mustard and collard greens, so it should be ok for igs.
