I do not have an iguana, but am taking care of one at my local
humane society. He just came in on Saturday and the area around the
base of his spines has not shed. He is a monster! Around 6 feet
long. He was really nice even after all he had been through that
day. The owner gave him up because he whipped his tail at her.
Come on! Anyway, what can I do to help get those spines to
properly shed? Besides the regular soaking. I read somewhere
about rubbing mineral oil after the soaking, but I wanted to make
sure. And if anyone wants an iguana in Iowa, please let me know.
I wish there were a rescue around here.
Kelly
