Why not cat food?

Hi Mae! Everyone is telling you correctly to halt the cat food. The reason is because it has been shown that animal protein has been associated with iguanas developing kidney problems including kidney failure which leads to a very painful death. It may not be the ONLY reason an iguana can develop problems but it is one that you, the provider, can control very easily.
