Agreed T&Q ...may want to opt for like a rye bread if phosphorus is a problem....Nutritious breads should make up no more than 20% of their diet...that's not very much! but its a great nutritous treat just because of alot of other goodies in it (thiamine to name one). Purines (cereal grains) in em make them a bad choice for igs with kidney problems as well...and its mostly whole wheat,oat bran,raisin that has a higher fat content, others like pumpernickel, rye,italian are not a problem as far as fat go. Just not something ya want to feed them on a regular,daily basis....but they love it and if ya need something to hide their medicine in.....I'll opt for wet bread and/ or yogurt to get em to go for it no holds bar!
