Well gee...once you take a look in his mouth...check the corners of his mouth for "crusties" kind of abraded/raised irration at the corners(very common cause by food fed too big
often leaves scrape and irrate the corners of mouth sometimes exudate "crusties" can be observed...igs get it from trying to manipulate/shovel that food down their throats!). Swab the irrated corners with a Q-tip dipped in Betadine (povidone-iodine) every night for a few weeks to reduce inflammation and decrease the chances of it becoming a bacterial infection. Don't know if this is what the prob is tho...you'll have to do a good visual inspection. Sometimes bleeding along the gumline caused by food fibers stuck causing irritation. If yer certain it wasn't food color...and this bleeding is caused from other dark brn lesions you see INSIDE his mouth...I'd have him seen by a reptile vet to be on the safe side for treatment. Stomatitus (inflammation inside the mouth) can cause bleeding from the mouth. Often times the infection /plagues look like little chunks of lemon yogurt (to me!), but they can become dark brn and bleed. So be on the look-out....he'll need a vet for sure if you see them! Here's an article on stomatitus to help you determine if this is what he may have. Much luck to you and your ig!!
