: We boarded everything up and our apt. is a disaster (from us) but it's better to be safe than sorry. Hurricane Gert is next anyway so now we've got supplies. I was going through withdrawals yesterday/lastnight without my computer (packed in closet) but other than our cable going out and some rain and strong wind gusts, we lucked out. The eye stayed away from us and I hope it doesn't ram into any of the coastal states above us either. It's funny how the newscasters will say, if only it heads North.... or whatever (but that means it will slam into someone else, just not us). I find these statements rather cold... will be thinking of all of you from GA, NC, VA etc.
