The turn-out was impressive and it was a pleasure meeting Desiree, Vega$, Gwen and Slick. I kept finding it amusing how Vega$ would simply decide "Okay, enough with the table" and hurl herself onto the floor to go for a walk. One woman there had a baby iguana that she really didn't know what to take care of, but Des, Gwen and I gave her some information sources and hopefully pointed her in the right direction. She seemed like a caring person who wants to raise a healthy iguana, so I'm glad she came to the show.
Vega$ and Slick playing on the black shelf-like structure in the corner was hilarious and I couldn't get over how Dexter kept hiding behind my neck. The thing I found amusing was how Dexter was fairly calm about his picture being taken on Vega$' back, but he freaked out about an iguana his size that came. Unfortunately, that iguana looked like he could be on the road to some bad MBD. The poor thing's toes were swollen and when Gwen asked them what they fed it, the dad just shrugged and said "Oh, we just feed it lettuce" it's amazing that that iguana lived as long as it did. I hope they got the information sources sheet I was handing out.
All in all, it was a great show and I think we really got our point across to the audience. And I never realised just how much my blue-tongued skink can pee at one time!
