Well, I got a very general response from Animal Planet in regards to the e-mail I had sent them. I'm not too worried though, since there is already a NIAD coordinator working with them.
If anyone's interested, I have attached the reply that was sent back to me (probably the same one for anyone who writes to them):

comments and suggestions. They will be passed on to our program management
and executives and will be taken into consideration. Comments such as yours
