Hello Tracie. Snakes make good low maintanence pets. Ball Pythons are good if bought as babys but grow to a size where you will be feeding it rats. Corn Snakes on the other hand, are a little easier to maintain and will get only 3 to 4 ft in length. Big enough to eat adult mice but not to big to handle. Plus they come in such a wide variety of color, it is no less than amazing. The choice is yours, shop around and check out this kingsnake site.
