come on people stop the fighting the whole thing is pointless. everything needs to eat and no animal in the wild eats one or two things over and over. the key to a healthy animal weather it be a monitor or an iguana is variety of foods. would you like to eat a hamburger every day for the rest of your life. monitors are oppertunistic and will eat anything I work in a pet store and when we get shipments in Usually there will be a few lizards that just don't make it so I freeze them for future food for my monitor. I have iguanas also and cherish them as much as my monitor. so I understand how iguana owners are upset but its not like its your pet iguana thats being fed to other animals and if your against this practice then don't do it there are alterniives but don't complain about those that do you don't have to see it and if it adds VARIETY to their diet it will make their cherished pet (snake or Monitor) that much healthier. I personally will only feed frozen foods if not insects but that is just my opinion
