Yes it is sad. Guess it is all part of the food chain process. Someone has to kill the food we eat also. I think what bothers me the most is that the killing process is usually not a fast one. Cats playing with their prey before eating it...that kind of thing. I even feel sorry for the earthworms that I feed my turtle. He eats half of it and the other half is trying to get away. He just puts his foot on it till he is ready to eat the rest. I like the way the bd's eat, those crickets never knew what hit them. Very fast ending to life. Just don't like the terror aspect.
