Howdy Chris,
I think the issue never got that far because of the internet copy laws. More people then you would think, take it very seriously about taking items before having permission (That is the issue and still will be) til you have it squared away with the owners of the photos.
Chris, I can tell you this, if the pics were mind I wouldn't be honor'd as much as mad about seeing them of someone elses site. But if someone emails me FIRST and ask to use them on a site, most likely I'd say sure going ahead. I think everyone here can say that, when I wanted photo items for posting on a website, I have asked first if anyone has any photos that I can use and what they would be used for. Also, when I have seen a photo I wanted to use for a project, I have emailed the owner of it first, and explained what I would like to do with the photo. The only time I have NOT done this is when I'm doing photos for the "What the....!!???"
page of Skinny's website and that's only because it was out of funny.....(which reminds me, I still need Lorry's pic.....Hummm Sue1 you let me down on that!!!! LOL )
Chris, I would like to say, just forget about it all right now. Just work on getting permission first and once you gotten that, then come get some feedback from everyone. I'll make sure I check it out and respond back to you with my opinion of the site, but not til you have full permission from the owners of photos not belonging to you. Ok? is it a deal?
Thanks
HD
Good luck on your building of the site.
