It really depends on your iguana. When you take it outside does it freak out? can you control it if it does? Because chances are something might make it freak out while you are out and about. I took mine out in public once. I had been taking him outside and holding him lots. So i decided to bring him along with me to a local friends pet shop to show his beautiful self off~LOL~ Well here is what happened~ He seemed a little tense in the car ride over there. I just let him ride in the back window~ After a few minutes he calmed down and looked at the sites. Then I picked him up and carried him into the shop~ He seemed mellow enough and they have an iguana in the store that he saw and gave some head bobs too!hehehe~ Who answered back with a few more head bobs~ all seemed well and he wanted on my shoulder. I let him ride on there a while in the shop and was talking for a little while. THEN like lightening he FLEW off my shoulder and on to the arm of this teenage kid who was wearing green!! I turned quickly grabbing Miya off the kids arm and he had his mouth all the way open trying his best to bite the guy!LOL~ Well that was my signal that it was time to go~~ Miya was puffed up and mad as hell! So out i went and into the car. He got up on the top of the passangers headrest and when i tried to touch him he opened his mouth wide to let me know there would be no touching~~LOL~ this was the first time Miya had shown any kind of madness towards me or anyone so it was quite shocking to me. Now i am used to it and would be shocked if he was nice!LOL~ So if you take your Iggy out you have to really be on gaurd~~ I don't use leashes because it damages there spikes and also Miya goes into a crazy state if placed in one so i think he might have had bad expierinces with one?? Good luck ~ Tiff

: In Melissa Kaplan's book and on her website, she says I can take Isis out for a walk in the park, the bank or a bookstore. i want to take him to the park. Is this a good idea? I would, of course, be holding on tight and make sure people use Purell before AND after they touch him. But only if he is in the mood. Can i take him out? Or would it tramautize him? thanx!
