Well.....Linkmomma lol you got all the bases covered. I posted all the links I have showing calcium oxalate content of foods we give our igs already...but just wanted to remind you of one posted(link below)...in case you wanted to do a little comparison shopping in the calcium oxalate dept. too for your neverending research.Im just as confused as you Igmomma but I understand that we need to avoid saturation of oxalates,phytates,purines...because they are KNOWN to cause disease in reptiles right! Okra seems to be one of those eh! foods...mostly because of the high oxalates but also cuz as your numbers show...really not that great CA:P ratio
but as someone already pointed out you cannot just go with CA:P ratios alone when choosing foods
I try to look at how many strikes against a particular food are there....3 strikes yer out! Okra has 2 strikes, so far that I know of so I suggested Penny use it occasionally. Now collards altho less than half the amount of oxalates per 100gm serving (<3.5 ounces) in em than okra but do have em....but the CA:P ratio of collards is great! whereas okra's suck (pardon francais)....Iguanamomma....do you ever think we'll figure this out!! lol....I'm with you..Fry me up some okra too...I'll be there before you can shake a stick honee chil....lol
