It really depends on the personality of your ig. I would use a leash regardless, and always be close at hand with a big blanket to cover her up in and a carrier to stick her in if she freaks out. Igs don't like to walk like dogs, but if you put them on a bench or somewhere higher where they feel safe and can get some sun, it can be an enjoyable experience. Salvador loved the park and I took him there often. Sleestack is too nervous for outdoor excursions unfortunately. Iguanas tend to freak out when they get on the ground and feel vulnerable...so always keep them elevated and there is a better chance they will stay put!
