Carrie,thank you for your post and am still so sorry about Trex.I have a blood panel done on my three lizards every yr.Just so that our vet will have a base line for them for furture references.I don't do much supplementing since our kids go outside everyday for sunshine.I do boost up cal if Cirsis or Tigger is gravid.
I do sometime agree with you on keeping igs as pets tho,,and for yrs have said,"they just don't know enough about lizards yet"even our vets.These animals are relatively new for being kept as pets,so that's why there is sooooo many debates as to their care.But,I can't imagine my life without these wonderous,wonderful creatures in it.
Please don't blame yourself or the vet,,so many vets are accused of over testing and charging unneccessarily.I also hope you will try and have another ig,possibly an adoptee,that needs a good loving parent like you.
