I know that my vet is doing it more often for this very reason. I hear from a vet tech that the results are a couple of years down the road.
Spaying is not the serious operation that it once was. In Sam's case, her blood work was indicating a slight problem and she wasn't coming out the season. In fact, she was showing signs of double clutching. It is looking like we made the right choice for her.
