Hey family!

Just thought I'd drop a line in to let you all know I'm pretty sure that Shakai is gravid again. *sigh* I'm kind of concerned, because she just laid a clutch of 25 eggs (her very first clutch) on the 3rd of April, this spring, so it's pretty soon to be eggy again. She's gained a great deal of weight in this last month, and she has begun to look decidedly lumpy. She is also in her patented "Lumpy and Grumpy" gravid mode. She is very touchy and snappy, whereas she's usually fairly sweet. The only thing that is baffling me is that she's still eating like her usual piggy self! When she was gravid this spring, she went off food for a while, and this time it doesn't even appear that she's reduced intake much. Sha poops on a very regular basis, so she's not impacted by anything and therefore bloated, so it's my best guess that the joys of motherhood have come upon her again. Blech. I re-constrcuted her nest box this afternoon, and she has been busily digging. I'll keep you guys posted. She's in great health so I'm not too worried about trouble....of course, having a gravid girl is pretty scary, as I'm sure some of you know. :) I'm going to try to put up a pic of Shakai's tubby belly for inspection by you all. Hope it works! :)
Best,
Jamie/JBug
