I hate to mention this, but some place you said you traveled with your iguana
are illegal and if they caught you, your iguana could suffer dire consequences i.e. death.
You would also have been slapped with a large fine, perhaps over 20,000 US dollars.
Just mentioning it in case you plan to travel again - wouldn't want to have a sad ending to a good story!
Sammy my green iguana has traveled to Tokyo, Japan eight times
round trip, and has lived with me at my apartment there for several months.
She has also traveled to many other parts of Japan, and other parts of Asia
for instance in Hong Kong, she met Jackie Chan!
Sammy was purchased at a reptile shop in Southern California and that's where we live now. No major traveling for me now as I am
semi-retired and don't work much.
Oh and also, she has gone with me more than four times round trip to Cambridge (where I went to college),
to Chicago, San Francisco, gee the list goes on and on.
Unfortunately, my Blue Iguana Sapphire cannot travel with me, as she is more highly protected species unlike the
common green iguana, and international travel is prohibited except in special circumstances.
Only these last several months has it been legal to even buy or sell the Blue Iguana over U.S. state lines, before you couldn't even do that!!
Have fun racking up those frequent flyer miles!!! :-)And don't forget the sunscreen!
