I see what you're saying. Look at an health food store or co-op for organicall dried fruits instead of typical dried fruits at a store. The main difference is in the lack of unnatural preservatives. I buy em naturally dried at our local co op and they work great. A shame that half my iguanas don't even like them. :(

: You misunderstand me...I know they're a good source of calcium however, the discussions here on this forum lean towards the fact that the preservatives in them are pretty yuk....and that makes sense to me. I avoid that junk in dog food like the plague.
