A little poop talk to make this conversation *REALLY* complete! (And about Anne) [Longer than I intended]

In Reply to: Pass iZ an extra bite of orange tonight! posted by Iguanamomma on August 23, 1999 at 18:33:29:

Hi, all

Thought I'd add a little side-note here. I actually feed Shakai oranges regularly...every couple weeks she and I share and orange. (hygeinically, of course) She is the only one that gets them because Bones doesn't like them and they give Einstein and Quasi hideous poops! After they had oranges, their poops were runny, off-color, and extremely smelly. Since this was the only new diet item, it had to have been the oranges. I looked around and discovered that nasty feces are fairly common after eating citric foods. So, like humans, some can handle the oranges and some can't. Shakai has never had a problem. I guess it's just an individual thing.

Also, about Anne. I noticed that there was a thread about her and about how she "knows what she's talking about." This is definately true. She and I are on several email list together, and she has *never* failed to amaze me. The greatest thing about Anne is if she doesn't have cold, hard scientific facts to back up what she says, she doesn't say it. I've seen folks come and go who like to argue with her...they invariably end up looking stupid. She is a very learned woman, and she always cites her sources. I have come to trust her impeccably. She has a great resume, too. This is taken from the diet page she was a big part of:
Anne Marsden
earned a B. Sc. in Genetics from London University. Since 1983
she has worked in Medical Technology, Supervisory and Quality Assurance
positions in clinical testing. Her major fields of work have been Hematology,
Immunology and Infectious Disease. For the last ten years she has worked at a
large reference laboratory with particular excellence in Endocrinology. Anne
raises her green iguanas and is a successful owner and breeder of Phelsuma
geckos.
You can find that at:http://www.netwizards.net/~altab/#bios

Always expect good information if it comes from her.

A little blurb some might enjoy. I joined clubphoto and made me a digital photo album just for kicks. If ya wanna check it out, I'm posting the link below! :)
Best,
Jamie/JBug
