: when I got my ig, I was given a couple of hot rocks. It was all he had had his entire life. Luckily it never burned him. I was forced to use it as a heta source the first few days. (Louie came as a bit of a surprise and between paydays) I encased the offensive units in a good thick sports sock, and kept them together so he had a somewhat larger area of warmth.
: Now they make nice footwarmers for the bottom of the bed when the dog decides to sleep elsewhere!
A friendly warning.Enclosing hot rocks in socks causes the heat to become encapsulated. This can cause a fire and even the manufacturer warns that they should never be wrapped in socks, towels and such.Im glad that your animal was not burned and you didnt have a fire, but please be careful =)
