I just bought 2 hatchling G. Sulcatas (Spurred tortises). I have a nice 20 gallon aquarium for them. I keep the water level at about 10 inches deep. I heard they like warmth so I also have a undergravel heater installed. There is good aeration with strong bubbles coming up. I buy fresh minnows and crayfish for them but they don't seem to have an interest in eating. I'm thinking about putting a platform on the surface for them to rest on since I recently placed glass on top of the aquarium to reduce evaporation. They don't seem too happy... maybe I need to add even more swimming pool chlorine to the water.
