Woodstock has found a way to make me feel incompetent. This iguana refuses to rid himself of pin worms. We have wormed him 4 times and guess what he pooped. You guessed it. One inch long.
Woodstock is believed to be going on three, but could be older. he refuses to be tamed. He was caught in the wild in Virginia Beach by a PETA member. Woodstock has been attacked by something that got a few of his spikes. His tail has been broken twice. He is the true helicopter iguana, but his teeth are growing. He weights a little over one pound. Thank God, he never grew.
I have 3 other iguanas and one dog in the house and no one else gets these worms that Woodstock can't get rid of. Has anyone else had experience with a wild stressed iguana with worms? My vet thinks it may have been his attitude that got him turned outside. Is it stress that is causing this iguana to reject medicine?
