She HAS asked for homes for about half of the animals.
Granted, I don't agree with her keeping 9 igs as pets,
and Big Iggy (the one who needs to have the poop massaged out twice daily)
should be put down IMHO-- but if she's willing to do the work for a Special Needs ig,
who are we to say it's wrong?

She is trying to reduce the number of igs she has and move into a larger place.
She's also taking some of the stress off of people like me (a Maryland rehabber)
who only have space for a limited number of igs.
It's not the best situation, but give the woman a bit of credit.

: This particular woman has been "advertising" if you will, for donation on all of the iguana losts I am subscribed to. Thes list includes IguanaMail, Virtual Iguana List, herprescue, ICQ-iguanas, iguanalovers, etc. If it's not herself posting, it is a friend. She is not asking for homes for the igs in any of these posts, she is asking for donations. Monetary donations. She has not asked for help with adopting out the iguanas. She has been given several offers from people all over that want to adopt one of the iguanas, but she has turned them all down. Some feel that I am being hard-hearted because I have not jumped into the frey of offering money. I agree that this is an unhealthy situation for all involved. Before we all buy this woman a house, for pete's sake, some thought must be given to the situation. I agree very heartily with iZ mom, as well as HArry and Lola's. Just thought I'd add what I knew. :)
