: the key to getting any animals to get along, even those of the same species, is to let them get used to each other. but don't leave them alone till the ig is bigger than the cat! My ig was bigger than my cat when I got him, so he taught the cat within the first few minutes that ig tails are NOT chew toys! He slapped the cat upside the head and now ignores her and even allows her to chase his tail. The onlt time he reacts is when she actually gets it in her mouth. Then he threatens to slap and she jumps back.
hi,
Our cat "Cat" has learned that if it is on the inside of the door, it is to be left alone. Anything can wander through my digs with impunity including mice, which might get trapped and fed to something.
