To cage in the radiators, use aluminum expanded metal - most weld / machine shops can come up with it - and fabricate it so's the Ig can't get on top of it. A piece of plate at steep angle should do it. And make the cage well out from the radiator.

Devise a way to anchor it down. I dunno about your Igs, but the Garoot is clever about getting into places where he dosen't belong. Yesterday, he was trying to pick the lock on the liquor locker. Good thing his claws have been trimmed.
