HI,
The orange color can be a sign of kidney or liver problems but it usually only means that the Ig is in season. HD is correct to advise you to use extreme caution as a normally placid Ig can become very agressive in a heart beat. The duration of this season of hell can vary widely but is uaually from 1-4 months. I do have one male which remained in this condition for about a year. He then returned to normal for around 3 months and is now going into it again. Woe is me. I also would use extreme caution in feeding any wild plants which are not commanly known to be safe and nutritious for Igs. The digestiive system differs greatly from mammals and what is safe for one cannot be assumed safe for the other. If you are new to this the Melisa Kaplin site and the Hatfield book contain a wealth of information. Happy Herping, Iguana03
