I'm just catching up here so bear with me BUT.... From what I just read, you're considering taking in a "special needs" iguana and housing it with a healthy one ?!?!?!?!
Forgive me if I am already covering "old" conversation but if such is the case you're going to have SEVERAL problems on your hands more likely than not. The first being that this "new" ig should be quarantined for at least six months to make sure that there is nothing wrong with him/her that could be transmitted to any other iguana (or human for that matter). And the only way to make sure of that is by at LEAST one, if not more, vet visits within that timeframe.
The second thing I see wrong with this strictly from the above post is that if you are more concerned with being bitten by this "special needs" ig than you are for caring for it then that right there should give you the answer that you're looking for.
Stick with taking care of Isis for now. Maybe with a bit more experience and a greater compilation of knowledge down the road you'll be more ready to take on abused and neglected igs.
