Iguana Babysitting in the Los Angeles area!

Welcome to Le Iguana Spa Eguro!

Finally! A place for your treasured iguana(s) to be responsibly cared for while you are away! We are located in the Woodland Hills area.

Here at Le Iguana Spa, we will not lock your iguana in a cage* like your local vet or other animal sitting services might do. Each individual iguana is given his/her own safe enclosed area or room to freeroam.

Activities for Iguanas at Le Spa:

Upon arrival, your iguana will be given the once over to see what he/she may need the most. This may include nail smoothing, warm bath soak and gentle massage to remove loose shed skin, etc. As soon as possible (usually within the first few hours at Le Spa), a fecal sample will be collected and thoroughly examined under the microscope for internal parasites. Owners will be notified if the need to treat such parasites should arise.

DAILY activities for your iguana will include but are not limited to:

Warm Bath and massage in oversized tub (disinfected after *every* iguana use).

Many hours of safe Direct Sunbathing in warm Southern California sunshine.

Watching TV, watching cars, and passing people from the window.

Freshly prepared salads served up to three times a day.

All iguanas that stay for 5 days or more will be given a nice smooth manicure the day before pickup. (Usually even for very short stays I will still do their nails for you.)

I love to pamper your pets!

Before you are admitted to Le Iguana Spa:

1) Please email me at m_eguro@ix.netcom.com for availability. Although I hate to turn down anyone, I would rather do this than not be able to care for your iguana(s) to the level that they deserve. Because of this, make your reservation as early as you can.

2) You MUST sign Le Iguana Spa’s contract which gives Marie the ability to get veterinarian treatment should an unexpected emergency arise. The contract also specifies drop off and pick up dates. These dates can be changed should an emergency arise. Email me at m_eguro@ix.netcom.com for details.

3) You must agree to the cost of $5 PER DAY, PER IGUANA, and pay in full upon leaving the iguana. This charge includes all above activities and services, i.e, fecal exam and treatment (if needed), daily baths, food, electricity costs, etc. For longer stays, payment arrangements can be made.

We have many repeat clients at Le Iguana Spa Eguro. Please email for a list of references.

NOTE: Green Iguanas and Cyclura of any size will be admitted, however NO sick iguanas will be admitted to Le Iguana Spa. Minor injuries with gladly be cared for. Gravid iguanas are welcome and will be given large digging areas. Male iguanas over 5 lbs in aggressive breeding season will NOT be admitted due to safety concerns for human caretakers and other iguana guests.

* If you bring two iguanas or more, some may need to be caged. Tiny baby iguanas need to be caged for their own safety. Iguanas that have been found to harbor nematode worms may need to be caged appropriately to avoid spreading these parasites.
