Hi! I think that was very well said and a nice break
from the usualy flames and fighting that rear their heads
here on the forums sometimes...
What about a solution? How could this be "fixed"? Would it
be reasonable for hobbiest/pet 'owners' to sell their
CB baby iggies to the wholesalers? What about direct to the
pet stores? Seems like it would make more of an impact
selling (or giving?) baby igs to the wholesalers, but then
again, thousands would still die from poor living conditions
and stress from being there. So, then I guess the best choice
besides advertising CB igs (which many people who want an igauna
don't even realize that breeders OR rescues exist!) is to
sell them to pet stores for less than they are currently getting
the WC or farm-raised ones. What do you think? Does this
sound viable? Then we could include "birth certificates" that
say when the ig was born, who were the parents, and include
with that a *good* care sheet and a list of references for
further research (like Hatfield's _Gren Iguana, Ultimate Owner's
Manual_ and good web pages and such)
I'd like to hear some ideas/thoughts about this...
