You make some very valid points. I agree with what you said regarding people would prefer quality CB vs sickly imported. I guess most of us would rather they take an older rescue rather than buy a new one since there are so many already out there. But I also understand the reasons people opt to purchase a baby vs take a rescue. You are right, people are not going to stop buying baby igs. Hopefully fewer will.

I also strongly agree with education being the key here. Many of "regulars" here are volunteers for NIAD (National Iguana Awareness Day) myself included. IMO the focus of NIAD is education, not rescue (although those that can do).

This is a heated debate (whether to hatch CB for sale or not). And while not all of us will agree on the answer I respect your view. Like I said below I long for the day when CB are all you can buy and price charged more accurately reflects the true value of these animals.

What we all can agree on is that EDUCATION is probably the best thing we have to use in an effort to help change the appalling problems with the ig trade in this country.

I hope you stick around TL, a differing opinion can be a good thing IMHO. Especially when presented so eloquently.
