I don't pretend to know the solutions to the large reptile crisis. But you can condemn all captive breeding, take in as many orphan igs as you can,and pat yourself on the back all you want. It isn't going to do a damn thing to change the situation as a whole. I can think of quite a few people who stopped taking in unwanted igs not because they stopped caring, but because for every one they took in, 5 more were left on their doorstep. Obviously, that is NOT a solution. Again, it takes a big heart to deal with unwanted igs, and I admire the people who do it, but if you think you are going to find a good home for every ig out there, you are living on a different planet. This was a problem long before you started keeping igs, and unless something changes drastically, it will still be a problem until the day igs become hard to find.
I think that you ahve a wonderful attitude!!!! NOT NOT NOT!!!!

As lonmg as people like you think the way you do, there WILL always be a problem. Instead of being a "Knowledgeable" guy who doesn't use his so called "Knowledge" to do something to help, don't criticize the good people out there who ACTUALLY care
my two cents!
