Are you talking about basking bulbs or night heat source lamp? What are your night time temps? If nighttime: Igs can handle up to 60 degree low nighttime temps for several weeks IF your ig is healthy and eating , pooping well....BUT you do need to get a heat source there ASAP...if not ceramic heat lamp ($13.00 at poultry/aviary supply stores), then infared red/blue heat lamp($7.00) use the porcelin top clamp on type fixtures with the reflector hood ($9.00)The porcelin type lasts way longer won't warp with the heat and will not blow out your bulbs and can handle up to 250 watts). Get this stuff at most do-it-yerself stores. For basking just any ole household bulb...depending upon the wattage and size of cage to provide basking up to 95 degrees max. Please consider the porcelin topped fixtures with metal reflector (clamp on) so your not burning your bulbs out or warping them as the plastic ones tend to do. You really need to have either the digitalized temp gauges ($10.oo Radio Shack) or 2 temp gauges one at basking side one at cooler side and a humidity gauge set at where your ig hangs out. Most important to have these three gauges!
