Meggy is spoiled rotten--I carry her everywhere! In fact, I worry that her muscles will atrophy if she doesn't get some exercise so I have started a program where she has to walk at least once a day. At night when I put her back in her 6' x 6' x 3' cage, I put her on the floor and make her climb up to her perch.
She is 8 pounds and about 4 feet long but lost 9" off her tail several years ago. In the morning, when I bring her out, she even snuggles into my neck to warm up. We handle her a lot and she is very tame and gentle--even allows the dog, Big Al, to lick her face.
I gave up taking her to the beach (or outside)last year. She really went wild out in the sun and we had quite a row! She wanted to take off and I had a dickens of a time getting her back to the car--complete with crocodile rolls and barbed-wire arms!
I was astounded by the lady who posted that her iguana poops every week or so. Meggy goes every day or every other day and they are enormous!
