Well Chris,it looks like you got some good advice so all I'll add is this in the training calming part of your question.Put one of your old clean t-shirts in his cage with him so he can start to acclamate to your scent.They are very odor oriented so that will let him know you.Also,depending on how long you've had him home,try holding him in the evenings when things are quiet and he's tired from the day.Always move slowly and be soft talking and all our kids,liked to be rocked and whispered to when held under stress.Just be patient with your little one.
