A healthy,well kept iguana can live 15-20 years in captivity and perhaps even longer then that.
Iguanas grow very rapidly the first year.Growth rates vary based on the quality of care the animal if recieving..food,light,heat etc.A baby can easily double or even triple his size in the first year or so.Then it slows down quite a bit.They will reach their adult size in 4-5 years if properly cared for but they never stop growing.After 5 years though their growth slows down to a crawl,if you'll pardon the expression ;)
If this is your first iguana I would suggest checking out some of the excellent care sheets avaiable online or picking up a book about them.
