Rose of Sharon

Hi y'all. I have several Rose of Sharon growing in my yard and they have beautiful purple flowers. I've learned that they are in the Hibiscus family but I don't know if they are safe for my monsters to eat. Anyone have any knowledge about them?
My daughter and I are leaving Thursday for the Breeders Expo in Orlando. I spoke with Lara Maxwell and I am definately bringing home one of the research igs that needs a home. From what I understand this ig will probably be a challenge. Hope you all are around when I get home, I'll probably need the support!!
Bubbles the Rhino ig is doing very well. She is an eating and pooping machine!! We had her out about town yesterday for a socialization trial and she was wonderful, prompted a lot of questions and made for some good educational discussions with the public. Joe, I can't thank you enough!

For those of you that will be in Florida....cya soon!!!
