qualifying ig rescues

I have been reading the posts about ig rescues and especially the one about
the woman in DE that has 20 igs, no job, no house and apparently is using
other peoples addresses, etc to contact her.

To put it bluntly, I belive this person has severe mental problems. Much like t
good hearted cat lady that has 50 cats, upon futher investigation, the authorities
find that the cats are dead, dying, malnourished, etc. For some people, the attention
they bring to themselves, via their animals, is more important than the care and condition
of the animals themselves.

As far as this woman with 20 igs. I have to ask, why 20. We have 3 and it's a major job. And
the fact is; we have a house, we bring in over a 100k a year, I have experience in aniimal care, etc.
but yet,its sometimes a real pain and an expense. Can anyone here tell me how you can care effectively
for 20 igs, with: no job, working temp, no home, in DE ( which is not warm and humid like FL )and expect
to have healthy animals. I have to wonder why many of the igs need medical care, was this the diagnosis
of a vet ( costs money ) or did someone have to tell this gal that her pets are sick.

That fact that she doesn't want to freely give the igs to homes, but wants to sell them for money, should be
a major warning sign to anyone dealing with this woman.

I can tell already from the posts that tell how communication is going with this gal, that she
is disturbed, she asks for help ( getting attention to herself ), tells a story, changes the story, and
will probably keep changing her story as long as she gets attention, regardless of what happens to the
igs.

I unfortunately believe that these igs are going to die and not in a good way. Either the SPCA or someother
public agency needs to get involved in order to physically take the igs away from this woman, and then, she needs
a psychiatric social worker immediately.

In a long winded way, we need to have a set of qualifying guidelines for accepting rescue and adoption requests. Other
wise, a lot of time and emotional expense will be paid in pursuing lost causes like this one.
