hard question!! you're gonna get lots of different answers to this~~ make it as BIG as POSSIBLE!!!

keep in mind that an adult ig will grow to be 5-6 feet long ... their body will be 18-24" long ... i would say that the absolute narrowest to go would be 3' ... less than that and they won't be able to turn around very well ... then for length, i'd put the MINIMUM at 4' ... and make it as tall as possible, with 12" clearing from the ceiling so you can put the lights on the outside out of harm's way ...
hmmmm ... that gives you a minimum of a 3'x4'x7' enclosure for a 5-6' animal ... not much room at all ... if you can, it helps tremendously for the ig to have roaming time everyday on a regular basis ... that will help offset the negative effects of ANY enclosure ...
iZ has a room that is 8'x10'x 8' high ... and on a day when he's full of energy and jumping around, THAT is too small!!!
