: Female iguanas don't need to mate to form eggs. Many iguanas go through the entire process of forming and laying unfertilized eggs.

: When was the last time your iguana saw a vet? It might be a good idea to go for a well iguana visit, have some routine bloodwork done and maybe an xray or 2 to confirm or dismiss the eggs. If she is gravid, your vet should be able to give you some info on how to properly care for your iguana and what to expect. She will need a nesting box (we use a box filled with a mixture of dirt, sand and warm H2O) and it probably wouldn't hurt to boost her calcium intake a bit!

: The whole egg thing can be frustrating, we know, we just went through it with our largest female. She didn't want the privacy or the nesting box that the vet suggested -she laid them in the open and waited for my hubby to come collect them and clean her up. lol What a spolied iggy! We're even having some issues with her still retaining eggs - all a very complicated matter that is too long and too detailed to get into here.

: If she is gravid, I wish you the best of luck and a quick, quiet and event free laying!

: I've included a pic of the xray of Mel's belly fully of eggs -I color enhanced it to make the eggs a bit easier to see!
