: hi!
: (personally) i wouldn't worry as much about the back legs right now as i would about her not pooping ... iZ was about a year old when he moved in with me and we also ran into a problem with constipation ~ he got so bloated up that he could barely breath and was panting thru his mouth ~ very scary!!! so, we need to get your iggy to poop!!!
: have you tried warm tub soaks??? that's what saved iZ ... he didn't much like it and i was about IN the tub with him cuz i had to hold him in my arms for him to stay calm ...and you want her CALM! the warm water will hopefully relax her muscles enough that she will be able to poop ... i had to soak iZ 3-4 times that day before it worked ... i'd soak him for 15-20 minutes and then put him back under his basking light for a couple hours and then repeat the warm bath ... try gently rubbing her tummy while she's in the water ... as far as water TEMP ~ make it about YOUR body temp but not too warm ...
: the prunes was a good idea!!! you might also want to get some "pedialyte" or "Infalyte" and dropper-feed that to her too ... that will replace lost electrolytes and prevent her from getting dehydrated (am assuming she's not eating drinking on her own ...?)

: yes, unfortunately, igs can be expensive ... especially when you first get them and are trying to get them healthy!!! hang in there! they ARE awesome animals! keep her warm and try the soaking + pedialyte ...

: best wishes for a speedy poop!
: :P + :)

I gotta concur. I give the Garoot a good soaking once a week just on general principals - whaddahell - it can't hurt. He almost always leaves a little evidence behind.

Good luck,

filthy
