I believe that fresh greens can't be beat by off the shelf products. When going on vacation for 4 days I searched for an off the shelf product that would be easier to feed. As Juby said, most all of them started with corn as its main ingredient. The only one I found that actually had some of the things I feed fresh was Zoo Med's pellets. The main ingredient is alfalfa. Also included collard greens, mustard greens, and kale. I will sprinkle just a few pellets on top of the fresh salad every now and then just so she gets used to them as a food source. When we were on vacation for 4 days and could only get a person to come in once in that 4 day period they came in handy. I left sneakers with a bowl of fresh salad and then a bowl full of these pellets (everything else is on timers). Then in 2 days the person came in and gave her fresh salad again and refilled the pellet bowl for the next day. They are only used as a temporary source of food.
Not to many vets actually know what they are talking about when it comes to igs and very few will admit it.
