Happened over on the Venomous Forum.
There was (is) a lady who had only ever kept one snake in her life, a nice, Cal King. One morning, she found a tiny Agkistrodon Contortrix, Copperhead, in her driveway. Donning gloves (shudder) she picked it up and confined it in a fish tank. Then cranked up the Venomous to tell the story and ask what to do next.
Everybody went onto shock! There was NO WAY this gal was qualifyed to keep a hot snake. Some of the answering posts were less than kind.
This stirred up some heated back-and-forth that left a lot of hard feelings. The fact that everyone lost sight of was: Nobody, no matter how experienced, was gonna talk Nikki out of her Copper. Not even at gunpoint!
Finally, cooler heads prevailed and she began to get the expert advice she needed.
Who can say? Perhaps she will turn into one hell of a hot keeper and one day be passing on advice to others.
The moral is: Ain't nobody gonna change nobodies mind by hollering. It's never worked for me, one way or the other.
Perhaps Augusto should have made his situation a little more clear, and perhaps Harry's Dad shouldn't have been so quick to critisize.
Come, let us reason together. We can pull our knives and cut hell out of each other afterward.
