Be sure to get a wattage low enough that the habitat is only about 70 - 75°F at night. The dark period should be a cooling off period. And I also agree about the poster black lights: they can be harmful to the Green Garoot's health.

: Fine to heat and provide vision with blue light/red light bulbs or infared red/blue lamps(no fancy poster blacklights) each give off heat & vision and do not disturb an iguanas sleep. If iggy should have a nightmare or loose its balance enough light to get its bearings,orient itself.....also some vision for you to peep.Both my igs enclosures have em...appropriately placed of course...they sleep like the logs they sit on!
