Well I live in FLorida so it is humid.... but he is also sitting in his small water dish! (which hee does in the afternoon when it is hotter) He gets one bath a day. I suppose living in FL helps, but with the lights in his cage, it probably isn't as humid as it should be.

Sleestack thanks you for the skin compliments though! I'm happy that I've been able to keep his spikes looking good-- the only thing that I gave up on was making them stand up straight. Those top ones curve over so badly that they touch his back (looks like he combs them to the side) I used to try to train them to stand up but it gives him character the way it is... I thought it would be uncomfortable to have them poking him in the back though! When he is p!ssed, they all stand up on their own-- pretty amazing.
