Skinny answered all your questions, but I would like to give you a site for the claw trimming. Because The Green Garoot, (is that his name?) is about the same size as Sneakers the ends of those claws should resemble pin points. Just take off the tip of each one. The diagram on the below listed site will help you. I use reptile claw trimmers and they are good. All so have some corn starch available to help stop the bleeding if you do cut to far.
