Guys, I'm having a serious problem. Where I am, the heat's been reaching 90+ degrees, lately. We finally couldn't stand it anymore, between the humans and the ferrets, we were dying! So, we finally broke down and bought an A/C. The problem is that, being the social creatures that they are, we keep the ferret cage and the iguana's basking/food/bathroom area where we spend most of our time. Which is also where we put the A/C. Now everyone seems to be going into winter mode.
I'm not too worried about the ferrets, they're just getting chubby and nice plush coats. But Trex is really worrying me. He hasn't been eating well and has now lost weight. He's been pretty lethargic and his coloring is off and actually, last night I noticed that his legs and sides were orange.
Does anyone have any idea how I can keep the A/C and still keep him warm enough to be ok? I don't want to give up the A/C, but I don't want him to be like this.
Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated (and used)!
Carrie (biting my nails)
Trex (I don't feel so good)
