the a.p. view point but that snails are an
intermediate host for flukes, which can attach to
the liver. I have only heard of 1 other iguana
that has had flukes, and we still haven't
determined how she got it as she was a rescue.
Typically, you don't see flukes in iguanas. Since
Ryu is 6 yrs old, I was also concerned as to how
the a.p. that was offered early on and
sporadically after have affected him. So..I
strongly suggested blood panels and fecal, to help
determine how well Ryu's body is doing. Knowing
the effects of a.p. and seeing the strong love
Jinx has for Ryu, I figured that the best path is
for early detection and try to countereffect or
delay the effects of a.p. on his systemm as deemed
by a professional.

: I can tell how much Jinx truly loves Ryu from
the way she talked to him and snuggled him. It
was a very warm and fuzzy feeling to watch these
two :) Anyhows, this all goes back to the need
for NIAD to help inform people, as not everybody
has internet access or are aware of Hatfield's
book or are aware of sites like Melissa's or
Jen's.

: Recently I learned of a wildlife educator in
Redondo Beach, so I'm hoping to bring Vega$ and
swing by and visit her tonite. She's less than 5
mins away from me.
